Fred J. Hickernell

Professor of Applied Mathematics
Illinois Institute of Technology

I study how to make computational answers more efficient and more reliable, especially when a problem involves many variables or uncertain inputs. My work connects Monte Carlo and quasi-Monte Carlo methods, numerical approximation, and scientific software.
